Dear Sponsor:

The Enhancement Foundation, Inc., is a nonprofit corporation operated exclusively for charitable, inspirational, educational, and scientific purposes as approved by the IRS as an exempt organization from federal income tax under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 50l(c) (3).  IRS Tax EIN will be provided upon request. Donors can deduct contributions they make to the Enhancement Foundation under IRC Section 170.  We are also qualified to receive tax-deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under Section 2055, 2106, or 2522.  Please see attached a copy of our organization's exemption letter to resolve questions on our exempt status. The IRS has determined that the Enhancement Foundation is a private foundation within the meaning of Section 509{a). The Enhancement Foundation is now registered with the System for Award Management and the Defense Logistics Agency. The Enhancement Foundation, Inc., was established in 2012 by the Founding CEO Ms. Brenda Campbell to support the quality of lives, value and contributions of women in every aspect of their daily living.  However, planning and full operations began in third quarter of 2017.

The vision of the Enhancement Foundation’s organization is to pro-actively serve as a catalyst for the lives of all women including the disadvantaged, victimized, underprivileged, and underserved generations of women for the future.  The Enhancement Foundation is a vehicle for women in disadvantaged circumstances where there is a need to overcome systemic obstacles; to realize greater self-sufficiency and wholeness through acknowledgment and utilization of dormant, yet, innate, creative God-given strengths, core competencies, proper supports and resources.

We believe there needs to be a change for the whole woman where they are empowered and educated to leave positive legacies for the future generations of women to come.  It is our mission to enhance and empower the abilities of all women to effectively plan and contribute to their personal health, social, professional growth and development by training and leading them toward a quality lifestyle.  In an effort to propel this mission, we will be sending out ambassadors to raise social consciousness about our program supports, resources, specialized training, workshops, conferences and special events and solicit the participation of all women. It is also our goal to mitigate and avoid any crisis or risks that women may encounter that will take them off their personal focus, plans and goals.  Therefore, all proceeds from the event will go directly toward assisting the Enhancement Foundation’s empowerment efforts to sponsor, train and provide resources for all women including the victimized, undeserved, underprivileged, and veteran women, who have faced various life challenges as we assist them through our planned programs offered.

The organization sponsored its First Inaugural Diamonds and Pearls Women's Bonding Dedication on Saturday, June 16, 2018, from 8am to 3:30pm) at the Marriott Richmond Short Pump located 4240 Dominion Blvd, Glen Allen, VA. 23060.  Last year, we were given a Proclamation by the Mayor of Richmond and anticipate another Proclamation this year. On Saturday, December 7, 2019 of this year, from 3:30 pm to 9:00 pm at the Hilton Richmond Downtown - Miller Rhodes Gerhart Ballroom - 501 East Broad Street, Richmond, Virginia 23219, our organization is sponsoring its 2nd Annual Diamonds and Pearls Christmas Gala and Lupus Fundraiser Charity.

A Christmas Gala & Lupus Fundraiser - You Don't Want to Miss it!

The event will be a Formal Christmas Gala Celebration and Lupus Fundraiser.  As it relates to the Christmas Gala it will be in honor and support of the women and their families who are currently suffering from Lupus and/or who have suffered as a result of their love ones having Lupus. The event will allow sponsors and attendees to contribute, provide resources and awareness to the cause and support of individuals who suffer from the disease of Lupus. This also will support children who are also in need of hope, love and better support on a daily bases and at what better time but during the Christmas Season

Fundraising Purpose: Our Second Annual Event will be a Christmas Gala and Lupus Fundraiser Charity event being presented on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at the Richmond Hilton Downtown will serve a two fold purpose, first to support women with Lupus and secondly to give their children the proper nutrition since many of these mothers may not have the money to ensure their children eat healthy and receive the appropriate nutritional value.

There are many health challenges and issues facing individuals who suffer with Lupus.  Initially, in Systemic Lupus Erythematous, the tissues being attacked are different from RA; however, in later stages, the diseases become very similar.  In some instances there is a lack and loss of: insurance, income, medical and treatment options, appropriate types of foods and diets (health and wellness options), jobs and goals attained.  INRI funded research on the pathology.  Some causes of lupus are revealing new approaches towards developing therapies and a cure.

This disease is cruel, fatal and requires expensive medical treatment and careful attention to the quickly changing aspects of the body because of this illness.  Systemic Lupus Erythematous (SLE or Lupus) is a systemic autoimmune disease that affects many joints and organs in the body.  With Lupus, like Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), the patients' immune system attacks their own healthy tissues.  Lupus research funded by the Arthritis National Research Foundation (ANRF) is focused on understanding systemic lupus so the organization can find new treatments.  For many women, Lupus brings on a daily traumatic experience that is not only faced by the victim but also suffered by the entire family especially children if in the home.

This year's women's event initiative will focus on this overwhelming disease. This disease has sparked our interest since it has impacted younger girls and women of all ages. In part this leading health problem has caused us to further investigate, research and desire to educate others on the known causes of Lupus that plagues over 1.5 million Americans. Five million people according to the Lupus Foundation of America throughout the world have a form of Lupus. Although all people of all races and ethnic groups can develop Lupus, women of color are three times more likely to develop Lupus.  There are more than 16,000 new cases of Lupus reported annually across the country.

The Enhancement Foundation continues to identify women in the community who suffer from this grave disease.  Although we have provided some financial assistance that helped to raise funds for a Lupus Walk held earlier in June 2019 in the Hampton Roads area but so much more is needed.  Within this immediate community, several young African American women have died under the age of 30 years during the last seven months and several children have been left motherless.  Currently, one young lady is taking 52 medications because of this grave disease and others are taking even more medications. Like many of our well-known Pop Star Sensations: Selena Gormez, and Toni Braxton to name a few, many of these ladies have suffered tremendously from this grave illness, and have caused women as victims of this illness and their children in many cases to give up their dreams and make major sacrifices.

The Enhancement Foundation Learning Management Training System: We believe healthy eating helps the body to heal and fight off unhealthy diseases. We also believe that women without Lupus diseases can also learn from those who are suffering from the disease. Not only do we want women to learn how to eat better/properly we want women and children to live full, productive and healthy lives that will carry over to every aspect of their lives. Therefore, the Enhancement Foundation is planning to roll-out an on line learning management training system for many of the underprivileged and disadvantaged women and children who are apart of these distressed families as well.  Funding received from our funder/partners will allow the Enhancement Foundation to sustain and keep updated our knowledge management portal.  Our system will house various types of professional training materials, and the latest resources received from all of our partners and we are hoping specifically Whole Food and Amazon. These resources will include: data and research and advocacy resources, the latest training and supportive information needed by all women who may have concerns or questions about Lupus or any other health, nutritional, wellness concern, social, professional, career development and entrepreneurship needs.

It is the Enhancement Foundation's goal to help women have access to our new learning management training system that will serve as a centralized repository in this area where information on various topic areas that impact women and children, specifically this year for information on nutrition, health and wellness through various partner relationships that have developed surrounding health, nutrition and wellness. The Enhancement Foundation will make sure our Program Materials utilized for this program also incorporates all of our vendors and supportive partners, so we can have all the information added to our proposed LMTS system which will be rolled out on our website.

We will need to hire staff to manage, continuously develop and stay current on all of the latest information received by our funder/partners. The maintenance of this system will require that we hire an Outreach Staff Assistant, Curriculum Developer, Programmer and Technical Software and equipment for our Learning Management Training System LMTS for the Enhancement Foundation to ensure that the word gets out to the targeted population for this event and all of our events dealing with health, nutrition and wellness online. We would like to role out this online LMTS on Saturday, December 7, at the Richmond Downtown.
