Dear Sponsor:

The Enhancement Foundation, Inc., is a nonprofit corporation operated exclusively for charitable, inspirational, educational, and scientific purposes as approved by the IRS as an exempt organization from federal income tax under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 50l(c) (3).  IRS Tax EIN will be provided upon request. Donors can deduct contributions they make to the Enhancement Foundation under IRC Section 170.  We are also qualified to receive tax-deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under Section 2055, 2106, or 2522.  Please see attached a copy of our organization's exemption letter to resolve questions on our exempt status. The IRS has determined that the Enhancement Foundation is a private foundation within the meaning of Section 509{a).

The Enhancement Foundation, Inc., was established in 2012 by the Founding CEO Ms. Brenda Campbell to support the quality of lives, value and contributions of women in every aspect of their daily living.  However, planning and full operations began in third quarter of 2017. The vision of the Enhancement Foundation’s organization is to pro-actively serve as a catalyst for change for the whole woman where they are empowered and educated to leave positive legacies for the future generations of women to come.  It is our mission to enhance and empower the abilities of all women to effectively plan and contribute to their personal health, social, professional growth and development by training and leading them toward a quality lifestyle.  In an effort to propel this mission, we will be sending out ambassadors to raise social consciousness about our program supports, resources, specialized training, workshops, conferences and special events and solicit the participation of all women. It is also our goal to mitigate and avoid any crisis or risks that women may encounter that will take them off their personal focus, plans and goals.  Therefore, all proceeds from the event will go directly toward assisting the Enhancement Foundation’s empowerment efforts to sponsor, train and provide resources for all women including the victimized, undeserved, underprivileged, and veteran women, who have faced various life challenges as we assist them through our planned programs offered.

The organization sponsored its First Inaugural Diamonds and Pearls Women's Bonding Dedication on Saturday, June 16, 2018, from 8am to 3:30pm) at the Marriott Richmond Short Pump located 4240 Dominion Blvd, Glen Allen, VA. 23060.  Last year, we were given a Proclamation by the Mayor of Richmond and anticipate another Proclamation this year. On Saturday, December 7, 2019 of this year, from 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the Hilton Richmond Downtown - Miller Rhodes Gerhart Ballroom - 501 East Broad Street, Richmond, Virginia 23219, our organization is sponsoring its 2nd Annual Diamonds and Pearls Christmas Gala and Lupus Fundraiser Charity.

This year's volunteers are joining the Enhancement Foundation to ensure that our event focuses on the importance of establishing and empowering healthy lives and relationships. Our 2nd Annual Diamonds and Pearls Christmas Gala and Lupus Fundraiser Charity event is being presented in light of the many challenges and issues women and girls face.  We clearly will define activities and resources to help promote awareness, education and equality for women and girls in the community with their families. It is the organization's goal to help women obtain a decent education, alleviate various health challenges, reduce sexual harassment and domestic violence, and inequality within our nation's job pay structure.  Our ability to offer these services are critical to the community.

This year’s women’s event initiative will also allow us to focus on the women health as impacted by an overwhelming disease known as Systemic Lupus Erythematous (Lupus) Plagues.  This disease has sparked our interest since it has impacted younger girls and women of all ages.  In part this leading health problem has caused us to further investigate and desire to educate others on the known causes of Lupus that plagues over 1.5 million Americans. It is believed that 5 million people according to the Lupus Foundation of America throughout the world have a form of Lupus. Although all people of all races and ethnic groups can develop Lupus, women of color are three times more likely to develop Lupus. More than 16,000 new cases of Lupus are reported annually across the country.

The Enhancement Foundation has and will continue to identify women in the community who suffer from this grave disease and provide some assistance in this area and by educating them and providing some awareness at this upcoming event. Within the last seven months  four young African American women have died under the age of 30 years of age. Currently, there is one young lady who is taking 52 medications because of this grave disease. Pop Star sensation Toni Braxton is also suffering from this grave illness which caused her to give up part of her dreams as a singer.

Systemic Lupus Erythematous (SLE or Lupus) is a systemic autoimmune disease that affects many joints and organs in the body.  With Lupus, like Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), the patients’ immune system attacks their own healthy tissues.  Lupus research funded by the Arthritis National Research Foundation (ANRF) is focused on understanding systemic lupus so the organization can find new treatments.  Initially, in Systemic Lupus Erythematous, the tissues being attacked are different from RA; however, in later stages, the diseases become very similar.  ANRF funded research on the pathology and causes of lupus are revealing new approaches towards developing therapies and a cure.
